Bloody Sunday

I just want to say this to the British Government... You know what you've just done, don't you? You've destroyed the civil rights movement, and you've given the IRA the biggest victory it will ever have. All over this city tonight, young men... boys will be joining the IRA, and you will reap a whirlwind........
(Ivan Cooper, Leader, Irish civil right movement after Bloody sunday massacre)
Bloody Sunday is a classic political drama directed by Paul Greengrass (Director of Bourne Series). The film is a unique attempt to recreate the events happened in Northern Ireland on January 30, 1972 popularly known as bloody Sunday. Many survivors of that day took part in the production of the film along with people of the city. There was not a single artificial light used for the production of the film and whole film was shot using handheld camera. So the viewers feels that they are "on the spot" witnessing the events. The film shows how the civil right movement was replaced by the violence of IRA due to the brutal action by the British govt.
Really haunting film...!!
